As
the people with the heavenly citizenship, we ought to celebrate the Passover.
Luke
22/19 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying,
"This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the
same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new
covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you."
The Bible teaches us that we can have the forgiveness of our sins only by keeping
the Passover. For many for the forgiveness of sins, God has established the Passover.
Jesus said: ‘The Passover is for you.’ It is a qualification for the
citizenship of heaven to celebrate the Passover.
In
Korea, it is clearly stipulated in the Criminal Code that if a Korean commits a
crime, he comes to forfeit his nationality and all his civil rights at once.
Since
he commits a crime, he is not qualified as a Korean any longer.
So were we. As
we committed a unpardonable sin in heaven, we were cast down to the earth.
In
other words, we lost the citizenship of heaven and forfeited all our
qualifications and rights as the people of heaven.
Christ,
however, came into this earth Himself to forgive all our sins by shedding his
blood. For the mortal sinners, he opened the way to be forgiven through the Passover
of the new covenant.
That’s why we have come to acquire the citizenship of
heaven and reinstate heavenly nationality.
The
power of the heavenly citizenship will be displayed when we go back to the
glorious kingdom of heaven. When many people entreat God to let them in before
the heaven’s gate, Christ will say, I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!
But all our family of Zion will enter by the gate into heaven safely.
Giving thanks to God who has given us such a great blessing, let us help numerous people who are longing for the heavenly citizenship.
